The way I'd put it is, the things that get me most excited tend to be the things that would probably kill a person... But I don't actually want to become a murderer for something like that I didn't really believe in demons either, when I tried it... but when it actually worked, I did think it was the best way to do it, at the time.
( though, really, selling his soul to a demon had been done more with the intention of killing himself. being able to gore and devour said demon beforehand had simply been a perk (that he had taken full advantage of). )
